2009 New Years Resolution

What are YOU going to do in 2009?

Write!

Well, that's nothing new: "write." But I'm so excited to share more cool stuff with readers and 2009 is going to be a fab year!

* The new Bloodchained comic book
* My new anthology, Soulful Sex: The Darker Side
* A new novel about "psychic vampirism," Looking on Darkness
* And the sequel to Bloodchained...hang on, peeps, it's coming!

What a fun year it's going to be!

Some Plans for 2009

It is that time of year again :)

These are some of the things I'd like to focus on and accomplish in 2009 --

1 - Finish final editing for Book Promo 201 -- currently with my publisher for layout
2 - Finish and start to promote - ebook about utilizing Amazon more completely
3 - Finish and start to promote - ebook about selling books on Ebay
4 - Continue to promote my virtual tour and Web 2.0 promotional business
5 - Write the second book in my Cape Hatteras mystery series
6 - Compile class lessons and begin to promote and teach promotional classes based on my two author promotion books
7 - Find time to go to the beach for at least a week :)
8 - After my next mystery is complete - write my next historic suspense or a contemporary suspense
9 - Possibly write a restaurant promotional book that I have in mind

My biggest personal hope for 2009 is to be able to have some time for myself in the next year - the 80+ hour work weeks need to go :)

KEEPING OLD RESOLUTIONS!

Uhm... let's see, I need to exercise more this coming year (always).

I need to take my father on more trips. He loves to travel and so do I, so I should do this!! (We are planning a trip to England in the spring, at least.)

I need to write more words per day. I participated in a university experiment that was designed to get professionals to write more words per day, and I managed 4,000 words at the peak of the thing, but I'm not doing nearly that now!!

I need to finish up about five novels and three short stories.

I need to do more book reviews if only to keep MargeAnna on her toes! It's a rare thing when one can accomplish that!!! :)

I need to push more of my existing stuff to publishers, so that I'll get more published and get more royalties!!! Yeah, I'm greedy.

But just in case this all seems very selfish, I also want world peace! No, really!!!! Truthfully, that would be nice for a change, wouldn't it????

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

And now for something completely... uh

A new year means a new beginning (read as: Let's try this one more time).

1. More time with the daughter.
2. More time with the husband.
3. Write a screenplay.
4. Complete and market the adaptation of "Three Times a Hero".
5. Complete "Jon's Way (ShadowsForge 5)".
6. um... get some sleep? lol
7. Get my house under control.

but not necessarily in that order!
Cheers,
MargeAnna

Resolutions

Clean up the "to do" pile
Declutter & reduce by 50% (includes the garage and shed!)
Start my Reiki business & online store

And most importantly of all:

START REVIEWING BOOKS FOR NOVELSPOT AGAIN! (instead of just hanging out in the back editing)

Resolutions

Aren't those things that we all make at the beginning to the New Year and seldom accomplish?

Well mine are:
1. I want to cut my debt by at least 25%-50%
2. The ever perenninal lose weight
3. Do my projects on time

What I want in 2009

What I want to do is
1. have the funds to finance a successful publishing company for another year or two or ten
2. write at least one young adult/teen book and one novel
3. promote and market better
4. enjoy life more, including time for me
5. spend as much time as possible with husband and rest of family
6. meet my grandson Aiden for the first time

Sequel...

I'd like to:

  • Get the sequel to Earthchild published.
  • Impress my (editing) clients (in a good way.)
  • Do the book in a month thing this year.
  • Actually get the house clean.
  • Get discovered. (My writing, not me.)
  • Go on a diet and lose enough weight to require a complete wardrobe so I can rationalizing buying clothes that aren't rags.
  • Join the health club and actually USE it every day
  • Master databases and Flash

That's it for starters.

Hopes

What I hope to do in 2009 is all of the little things I didn't get to do in 2008 - most of all spend more time with my family.

I also hope to spend more time outdoors, grow prize marigolds and finally sort through all of my old photographs.

Happy New Year everyone!
