Saint Jillian’s Rebel is my first Eve Jameson read, though Ms Jameson does have a few other books currently available. I liked it enough so as to want to watch out for more from Ms Jameson and will certainly be checking out the books she has published so far. This novella is part of the Fun In The Sun series, a set of delightful novellas published this summer by numerous authors. I have read a few thus far, and intend to read the rest!

In Saint Jillian's Rebel, Eve Jameson has concocted a spicy tale surrounding a woman's twenty-year reunion with the guy who broke her teenage heart – and what a reunion this feisty pair have! This short story will heat you up (even if you are already hot enough courtesy of any heat wave you are experiencing, like myself).

Divorcee Jillian Lawson was pushed into going to her twenty-year reunion by her daughter, who urged her to have some fun. Undeniably, Jillian is due for some fun, following her divorce from a man who wanted her to take control in the bedroom in addition to having control over every other aspect of their married life. Jillian's secret fantasies of being ravished by a pirate seem as if they are to remain just that – fantasies. Then she runs into Hunter Scott at the reunion. As a prim and, some would say, prudish teenager, Jillian had fallen for Hunter though she never fell into bed with him. Her reluctance to get down and dirty quickly earned her the nickname Saint Jillian. On the night when she was going to let her inhibitions go, he stood her up and slept with someone else, a girl known to be a sure thing. Jillian doubts his staying power for a long-term commitment, but for something temporary whilst she is on her vacation? He's perfect! Yet even as they burn up the sheets and steam up the windows, Jillian begins to reconsider her position – and learns that there are two sides to every story, with each side true yet opposing one another. What is the truth about what happened on graduation night? Could they have a future in the present?

Saint Jillian's Rebel is a steamy novella that focuses mainly on the physical relationship between the characters rather than their lives or personalities. Though an erotic romance, please be aware that this tale is more heavily balanced on the physical rather than on romance. Sex is adventurous and detailed, and takes up most of the story. Ever fantasized about sex whilst at sea? You might like this one if you have. Other sex acts include oral and anal, and there is also some mild bondage though thankfully (for me, at least) no whips or chains. If you like tales with reunions at the centre of the plot, or if you enjoy previous sweethearts reuniting, then Saint Jillian's Rebel could well be a novella for you.
