Space pilot Aidan's brother Zach was being held captive by one of the scariest people in Galaxy Grid 219, Balten, and she had to pay off his gambling debt by retrieving his Globe, a bauble filled with a synthetic aphrodisiac, stolen by the equally intimidating Reed Landrig. The only person that could help her was Warwick, a black-leather-clad Enforcer (mercenary) with whom she had worked before, and to whom Aidan was inexplicably drawn.

Warwick could get her into Landrig's One Day Celebration, but she would have to pose as his woman. Warwick revealed his usually leather-hidden acid scars, but didn't tell her that Balten was the cause, or the murderer of his parents. He had expected revulsion, but she surprised him.

At Landrig's, his woman poisoned Aidan with an overpowering aphrodisiac, which kept her and Warwick busy that night. That morning, Balten arrived with his men-and conflict arose when Aidan confessed that it was Balten for whom she was stealing the globe, and that Landrig possessed it. She left with the globe, only for Warwick to catch up to her and make a deal: He would help her break her brother out, in return for the globe, with which he would destroy Balten.

Their plans were shattered when Balten caught them breaking into his castle, and started to torture them for the location of the globe. In their escape, they killed Balten in the fray, but just when they thought they were safe, Landrig's men came after them.

IN ICE is a sexy, sensual love story about two people drawn together by chemistry that turns into much, much more. With well-developed, believable and likeable characters, and sizzling sex scenes, IN ICE is a fast-paced and enjoyable read that I just couldn't put down.
