It was a night I just needed a little diversion before bed. The kids were asleep, hubby wouldn't be home for awhile and I had a spare hour or so to wind down. On one of these nights I spent some time ready Anny Cook's Everything Lovers Can Know.
Ms. Cook introduces us to a couple destined for each other from childhood. Baron Llewellyn was just twelve years old when he met Jade Alexander, but he knew right away she was the girl he would spend the rest of his life with. It didn't hurt that the red-haired bit of a girl could read his mind and told him that he belonged to her. He already knew that.
Several years later, after they were promised in marriage, Baron has had too much to drink and isn't exactly a gentleman when he encounters Jade late in the night. She is such a vixen that he can't help himself, especially when she presses her young body against his and begs for kisses.
Unfortunately for Baron, Jade isn't pleased with the direction his advances go and her brother sees to it that Jade is hidden from Baron so the awful deed can't be repeated until the proper time. Baron is told in no uncertain terms to leave Jade alone and he has no idea how he will win her back.
Everything Lovers Can Know is a novella that unfortunately ends before it gets started. The characters and story are shallow and even the nicely spicy sexual encounters are not enough to save it. It is a case of too little, too late.
If you are looking for a naughty bit to read that won't be too involving or naughty, then this is a good one to pick. If you prefer more heat and substance, I suggest you try something else.
