Review:

Claire Treemont worked in the morgue--night shift. As coroner, she had to do the preliminary inspection and autopsy of the dead.

This night, the dead was a gorgeous hunk for whom Claire discovered she had the hots. She regretted to have met him only after his demise, but work was work and she was ready to start cutting him open for a postmortem.

Please stop right here if you do not have the stomach for what's going to follow: hot, explicit sex, with no less than the very "dead" hunk.

Now that I did my duty to inform you of the naughtiness to be found inside, let's continue.

Claire, the clear minded, modern coroner, found herself immobilized by the dead man's hand on her wrist. To her surprise, he was not dead, but narcoleptic; i.e. he'd fall asleep in a deep and death-like slumber any place this event caught up with him. By mistake, somebody had carted him to the morgue. But now that he was alive, he declared undying love for Claire.

While making love, Claire discovered one new and startling thing about herself: she wanted to bite her lover more than anything else. But Zach would have none of this. Even when he had to tell her the truth, or part of it anyway--namely that he was a vampire of an old and respected family--he could not bring himself to tell her the whole truth. He was forever in love with Claire, but fate was plotting against their coming together. Through the centuries, she always ended up dead before he could make her his very own Life Mate. Claire was being reborn again and again, only to end up dead every time. The legend said that if she was told the truth, she would cease the rebirth process and that meant that Zach would lose his love forever.

Caught in this vicious circle, Zach felt he could not risk one more time to lose her, while Claire felt a compulsory need to become a vampire herself. And she could not understand why, if Zach loved her so much, he would not want her to be as long-lived as himself.

This went on until the day Zach took fate into his own hands. He let her know that instead of becoming one with him, she might die from the poison another vampire pumped into her veins The fear of death on Claire's part, and the fear of losing Claire on Zach's, bring them to clash, for Claire would not stay put and calmly await fate to play its hand.

The enemy strikes and . . . .

Who is the enemy that over four centuries played havoc with Zach's heart and Claire's life? How can they fight back when they have no idea from what direction the next blow will come?

This story has explicit love scenes to make your blood boil and an imaginative new twist in Vampire Romance--you end up wanting to meet the vampire who would take the time to transform you into one as well, to share a really long lifetime of love and hot sex

IT'S A VAMPIRE THING is well written and full of sensual, hot sex scenes and funny dialogue; you must read it aloud with a significant other, or do it yourself.
