They say you are what you eat. Well, maybe a writer's maxim is "You are where you write" (or something to that effect.) Until we set up comment attachments, you'll have to email these in, with your commentary.

Mark Terry's desk...
My view 8 or 9 or 10 hours a day.

My desk? oooo-kay. But
My desk? oooo-kay. But there's nothing very interesting about it. Except maybe my black belt (grin :) and the old map of Scotland, the site of my latest release.
My writing desk
My writing desk with a view.
It's not easy to photograph both at once, so here's a picture of the view out the window, too. Great for staring off and contemplating!
My Desk
Hahaha -- love it! Sure, I'm always game for something like that!
Here are three shots of my own desk: You can definitely tell my mom was an interior decorator (so its in my genes)

Great stained glass window. I look at a cobweb all day.
Re: view
Thanks! My father created it -
You asked for it!
I have more of a "nest" but working on getting hubby to move to La Daughter's room and giving me his office. Hey, she doesn't live here anymore! I do actually get a lot done here (2 novels completed and a lot under construction), and it's very comfortable.
Re: nest
That's what I want!!! A comfy chair, feet up on an ottoman so I can be cozy on the laptop in another room!
My Desk
Depending on my mood, I travel between the kitchen and dining room tables
to set up a desk. Computer, coffee and dim lighting is all I require.

Where I write
My desk isn't usually this neat. I do have a seven year old and he likes to leave all kinds of interesting things for me to find. This was taken right after I set up my work space.

Here's a picture of my desk. It's actually a picture of the table I usually sit at at McDonald's. Since I'm the mom of a marching band student I spend a lot of my nights waiting for her to return from performances. I found out when I was unemployed that McDonald's is a great place to get cheap, but good, coffee and wi-fi. So now I head there in the evenings to get some writing done. I often call McDonald's "My office."

I thought my eyes were bad, then I saw the picture and realized my desk really looks that way.
