[Forward] [Back]Having spent years cleaning up after the tribe and working part time it was a bit of a shock to the system to have a live-in maid who looked after everything including the making of my morning cuppa.

I went from scrounging up any spare minute I could find to having hours and hours to dedicate to reaching my goal of being published. Suddenly there was nothing in my way. Well, except all those rejection letters. ☹ There a rite of passage for us authors and no matter how many we get we’re never immune to the sting. But I kept going.

In late 2007 I discovered something truly enlightening and the place where I ‘fit’. Ebooks! I had no clue of their existence until then but when I downloaded that first book I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Finally I found the right path. Most of my rejections were because of the heat level in my stories. I’m an open door author and the digital publishing industry was the perfect place for my erotic romance novels and novellas.

There was still a long way to go, my craft needed some polish and my grammar needed a complete rebuild as I was now aiming at a US market which meant US English and I’d grown up on UK English. The next step was to find some trusted critique partners but as I was so isolated living in Singapore my only connection was through the internet. No local chapter get togethers for me. It wasn’t until I began reviewing for Fallen Angel Reviews that I met the woman that would change the way I looked at myself and my writing.

Rhian is the alter ego of a stay-at-home mother of four. With motherly duties rapidly dwindling Rhian is able to make use of the fertile imagination she used to keep herself sane for all those years of slavery. Having spent some years living overseas and visiting tropical climates has helped inspire some steamy stories. With the help of Mr. Muse, Rhian spends her days writing and most of her nights as well.
