I was Sucked In - But I liked it
Laura A ****

Not at all what I expected, but I can't say that's a "bad" thing. It is a Romance, just not your typical story. While I was surprised, I certainly didn't put it down. What I really enjoyed and found unusual in today's line up of novels is your ability to involve the reader in the journey. You speak directly to the reader and consistently so. I liked your tone and slant toward the perspective of Jake. Adding psychology to the mix was very interesting for me, and I have to say I may have learned a thing or two in the process. I will never look at the bar scene or any other "pick up" atmosphere the same way.

Roller coaster of a novel
JNA1984 *****

Admittedly I had no idea what to expect when reading this book. Romance novel...set in Carolina...love and betrayal...another Nicholas Sparks clone? Definitely not. Readers follow the main character down a dark path with lots of twists and turns. The writing style is definitely non-traditional. Complex ideologies are mixed with hot and heavy romance. Self reflection, mixed philosophies, and unique character depth definitely separate this from a typical story of lust and betrayal (although there are still plenty of both).

Delightfully Wicked...
Patricia *****

As advertised, sexy, funny, and yet seductively deep and captivating in the interpersonal relationships, and how the "affair" corrupts. I really like the author's voice in describing things. It's a different read, but in a predictable cookie-cutter world, its different in a good way. More than just a romance novel...thoroughly enjoyable. ;)
