Review:

Not everyone knows that before Eve, Adam had another wife who, when he set her aside, became a demon and helped birth the legend of the vampire. At least, that is how the legend goes. But is that really how it happened? Did Adam's lack of love toward her damn her soul to hell? Or was it something created to make men fear the wrath of a woman they scorned?

Where did the beautiful Lilith come from? Surely, God hadn't made her for Adam, and then have her tossed away when he took the rib from Adam's body to make Eve. No one knows, and I doubt we ever will truly know, but Ms. Ross does her best to answer all those sort of questions for us in Lilith's Legacy 1: The Wooing.

Lilith is a demon, mated to Sammael, and happy with her life. That is, happy until she catches her mate sharing in Dark Splendor with another demon! She leaves Hell in a huff, bent on making Sammael suffer for what he did to her. She goes into the Light, and there she meets Adam. Unlike the demons in Hell, Adam is golden, beautiful, and innocent. She has never known anyone that innocent. Adam thinks she is his mate, and she lets him think that; as long as he satisfies her lust, she'll be whatever he wants.

She never planned on Jetrel being in the Light, or on him seeing her in Dark Splendor with a human. Jetrel is not only a demon who has held a key to her lust for years, he is also Sammael's younger brother, and by all rights, once she renounces Sammael, Jetrel has first rights to claim her as mate before anyone else gets a chance.

I loved this short novella; it was an easy, quick snack for my reading hunger. At forty-one pages, this is something to wet your appetite for more. And demons or no demons, this is one hell of a read!
