Review:

Carol and Jack were deep in the middle of a hot passionate affair. But they'd never met. It was a case of love in cyberspace, and for Carol, it was really good but not quite good enough. She wanted it all. She wanted the fantasies, the pleasure, the intimacy. But she wanted it in person. Jack couldn't get away to meet her until December and Carol didn't want to wait that long. Since she knew Jack had a rugged tour-guide business leading nature trips in Colorado, she tracked him down by his business and made herself a date. It turned out that Jack didn't guide the tours personally any more, but, his sister confessed, there were three men ready and wanting the same trip, and the other guide had broken his leg, so somehow, reservations were made for the very next day.

So what if she had to take a jet to a "crop-duster wannabe" to a cow pasture in the middle of nowhere. So what if there was no point in having the panic attack she was having because it probably wasn't going to turn out to be the movie Deliverance all over again, and Jack most likely had all of his own teeth. But she was waiting for Jack to pick her up in a diner from the Wild West that time forgot, and with a relationship riding on the possibilities, she had to see this thing through.

And when he stepped out of that brand new Dodge Ram King Cab of his, he was as drop-dead gorgeous as anybody she'd ever imagined: six foot three, green eyes, rugged features and dimples. Toto--the girl at the register of the store in nowhere--was gaga over him. And so was Carol. But Carol had created a problem for herself. When she'd set up the trip with Rocky Mountain Outfitters, she'd registered herself as Leah, the photo-journalist here on an emergency assignment. So when she started seducing Jack, was she supposed to be pleased or displeased when he started to seduce right back?

Cheyenne Thomas has written a very contemporary story, with a premise that many a modern woman could relate to--taking that enormous step moving a hot online relationship to one in the real world. Do you introduce yourself as yourself? Do you take a look-see first, just in case the chemistry isn't there? Well for Carol (alias Leah) and Jack the chemistry is definitely all there, and in spades. JACK SAYS is a light--practically effervescent---nicely-paced, fun read.
