Review:

Jack Killigan was a dock worker by day, but at night he could be found pounding out hot, steamy, sexy Romance novels. When this rugged man decided to enter his novel into a contest, he was not prepared for what was to come when he won.
Posing under a female name, Jack turned to his good friend and secret inspiration for his novels, Krysta Luekenhoff. Krysta worked as a contract negotiator by day. She was thrilled by the offer to pretend to be Candy Valentine, winner of the Valentine's Day Romance contest. From the first phone call to the publisher, Krysta knew she had to see this through to the end. She negotiated double the advance for Jack and more money than he felt he was worthy of. Krysta knew without her Jack would have given his book away.

Krysta had to fly to New York to meet with the publishers and press for the release of the book. Jack and Krysta decided it was best if Jack came along too. Jack could fill Krysta in on all the details of the book. Together they plotted to keep Jack a secret. If Jack's identity was found out, the whole book deal could be lost.

As Krysta read more of Jacks novel, she couldn't believe a man could have that much talent. The love scenes were so steamy Krysta couldn't help wondering if Jack was as good in bed as his hero. The two were forced to share a room in New York. Would Krysta find out if Jack was as romantic as his hero? And would Jack be able to keep his hands off his real life heroine?

MR. VALENTINE was an awesome book. Although this book is a reissue, it's one I haven't read by Ms. Thompson. And I can fully say she's outdone herself yet again. From the beginning you fall into the characters' lives and don't want to put the book down, until you find out the ending. The plot is funny and the characters believable. I highly recommend this book.
