Savannah Alexander was helpless in the face of the recurring dream-a dream she'd had at least once a month starting from the age of nine. The dream was always the same; it was always filled with the evil presence calling her Selena. It spread her with panic, fear and a helplessness she had never known before. Older and while visiting her grandmother with her parents, she had the dream again. This time, however, it came after a day of humiliation from the town bully. She woke crying out and then fled from her room and house. As she ran she hurt her foot, and Tommy, her cousin's friend, was there to help.
Years later, when she returned to take a much needed vacation, she stayed at the same house. Had she not returned, she likely would have ended up having a breakdown from the stress of the newly returned dream which had more force, power and evil than before. A series of coincidences made for an odd stay at the house. Tommy-not the boy she remembered-had returned, and along with seeing him and other friends and family, Savannah found out that the bully from her past still lived in town. These things combined to create a very strange situation.
Now a doctor, Dr. Tom Patterson came to the town of East Prairie on business and never intended to find Savannah staying there. As a single parent, Tom had to juggle the evil known as work and his daughter with precious care. When he came to town to meet a client and found out the client was the bully from his past, he was disgusted but had no choice. Tom promised to stay and help Savannah with her lifelong haunting dream, but she ended up back in the past-a place where she had no choice but to fight for her very life or die.
Past Indiscretions was a wonderful ride through the past and present. It was a time travel filled with mystery and a good dose of romance mixed in. The villain wasn't your average villain, but he was what he was-evil. Paranormal fans should be delighted with this book as this reader was. It was a delight and a half. The scenes set in the past were full and ripe with imagination as was the entire book itself. You don't have to worry about it being a story that will make you snore; you'll want to keep reading into the night so that you can find out what happens in the end just as fast as possible.
