Sequel to Jennie in the Bottle
Me Tarzan, You Jewel is the sequel to Jennie in the Bottle by Titania Ladley. Having read other stories by Ms. Ladley, I was looking forward to this book. In this entertaining romance, you are reunited with Jennie and Luke, now a Goddess and God of Carnality, who bring new sexual adventures to an unwary couple.
Vince Santiago thinks he has everything any man would ever want. He has every woman in the city making the rounds through his bed. However, for some reason a woman from his past is starting to haunt him. When he wakes up one day to find a genie in a bottle outside his door, he thinks she is there to grant him three wishes. However, this genie does not grant him the wishes he asks for; she has plans of her own.
What else could go wrong for Jewel Dublin? She has a terrible break up with her boyfriend, and then has a horrible accident that leaves her disfigured. However after losing tons of weight, undergoing a slight facial reconstruction, and joining a convent, she has to face a past she has been trying to forget. When she awakens one morning to find a bottle on her dresser and a voice telling her to open it up, she thinks she is going crazy.
Awakening to find themselves stranded on an island, they must learn to trust each other as they never have before. However, he does not recognize her. Not sure that she wants him to, she tells him her name is Jane. As circumstances bring them together, little things make him wonder if she is the woman from his past. Now all he has to do is bide his time so that she will admit who she really is, while at the same time trying to convince her they belong together.
Me Tarzan, You Jewel is a book you should read. Titania Ladley writes a truly enjoyable story. She makes you wish you could look into your past for those you may have left behind but may not have forgotten. I really felt for Jewel and Vince in their struggle to overcome their past while trying to deal with the present. As the story unfolded, I couldn't wait for the end. I'll be looking forward to Ms. Ladley's next book.
