Hi All
My name is Ray Melnik and I live in Salisbury Mills, New York. I commute to New York City each day where I work as a senior network architect. Because of the long commute it gives me plenty of time to read or write each morning and after years of writing technical articles I finally started writing fiction. My first novel is called, The Room, and I’m currently writing my second novel. I’m looking forward to connecting with other writers here. I hope you will take a moment to look at THE ROOM.

As a new member I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and say hello.

I am a young 53 and I have been writing fiction for about twenty years. I am also a composer and songwriter, so I also write lyrics and poetry.

I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in Sonora (near Yosemite Park) with my wife, Debi, my two youngest children, two dogs and a cat.

As my mortgage company doesn't accept IOUs, I also still working a day job: I am the Project Manager in charge of construction for Washington Mutual for all of their new branches in northern California (don't ask about their stock price). I built ten new branches last year.

My first novel, Slumach - The Lost Mine, took forever to write and was finally published under the pen name of Edgar Ramsey in 1993. Read an Excerpt.

My newest novel, Faith before Reason - The New America, was written in about a year and a half and will be published under my own name (1/15/08). It is the first volume of a three book series. Read an Excerpt.

I am currently working on the release of our first non-fictional book, an autobiographical collection of stories called, "My Three Diamond Bracelets" by Branna Eliscu Sisenwein. It chronicles the life of a couple and their struggle against blindness. Shortly after their marriage, Irving Sisenwein went totally blind. Since then, Branna herself has become legally blind. For many years, they have spearheaded an international effort to raise awareness of, and money for research, prevention and treatment of blindness. Now in their eighties and living in Palm Springs, they still work tirelessly for this cause through their non-profit orgagization: The Coachella Valley Desert Visionaires.

Hello everyone.
I'm a teacher at a southern Cal University, a member of RWA, and a fan of things paranormal. I have a novella in the Brava anthology "Immortal Bad Boys", with Rebecca York and Rosemary Laurey, that was just re-released this month in time for all the spooky October promotions.
I'm currently a finalist in the American Title 3 contest from Dorchester and Romantic Times -and really hoping the lighter fare I've rustled up for that sells - because I'd love to be able to write more "light" stuff.
Looking forward to reading all about others on this site, and being able to navigate, being somewhat SLOW on comptuter technology.
(Did I mention I'm a blonde?) So speak slowly.

Hi Everyone!

I've been a member for a little while now and finally decided it was time to come out of hidiing and say hi. I'm a writer, as most of us are here I assume, and have been struggling to put words together in the right order for most of my life. I write a variety of genres, anything from BDSM to paranormal romance, toss in a western or some gay and you get the idea. I love the challenges of creating the characters and scenarios, and can't imagine it ever ending.
