Review:

When reading the above title, images of zombie people doing stupid things are often the first thing that comes to my mind. Hypnosis is one of those things that is strange and mysterious to many of us. Or perhaps among some, the idea that you can make the most beautiful woman, or handsome man, do your bidding with no protest. Some even believe you can make your breasts or other parts of the anatomy enlarged. To all of which this book assures the reader is false.

While the information presented in this book is certainly within the vocabulary of the layperson in terms of medical knowledge and also includes a vocabulary list, I still found myself a bit confused going from one section to another. But then, I may not be the person (aka market) this was meant for. There are scripts written that one can use in various settings and this takes at least most of the book.

This is not a rousing read by any stretch of the imagination. But if you are looking for something that explains how hypnosis works and what it really is, then Hypnosis in Healthcare would be fine. Just be sure to read it more than once to make sense of it all.
