Review:

Roberto San Miguel, the handsome lord of the Isla de San Miguel, was part of a family that had taken care of the people of the island for three generations. Roberto's enemy, Eduardo Hernandez, claimed that the island belonged to the Hernandez family and continued warring against Roberto by hurting the people of the island. Roberto knew that this "war" must come to an end soon.

Roberto also fought a war within himself against loneliness while he waited for the woman he had seen in his dreams to come into his life. This woman was his soulmate. He saw her life and her thoughts in his mind and had visions of when the two of them would be together, not only through their souls but physically as well. His body burned every time he looked at the portrait he painted of her.

Elizabeth Sanderson's a third grade teacher who took every effort to reveal nothing about herself to the world. Even to the point of wearing glasses that were not needed, to covering up her beautiful body with conservative clothing. Until the dreams started. She started seeing a handsome, dark haired man in her bed giving her pleasure like she had never known. Somewhere in the back of her mind she recognized this man, but he still frightened her even as Elizabeth fought against showing any passion whatsoever.

Then the day came that they ran into each other. Elizabeth recognized him immediately. Part of her wanted to fight what she felt, and the other part wanted to let go to the wild passions she had never explored. That same night, Eduardo made an attempt to take Elizabeth. In order to keep Elizabeth safe, Roberto was forced to take her to his island. But Elizabeth, while attracted to this man, was afraid of him and felt like a prisoner in his world.

Elizabeth came to learn that she and Roberto were the reincarnation of two soulmates from generations ago: Rafeal San Miguel and Lupita. Lupita was a slave girl belonging to Esteban Hernandez-Eduarado's ancestor. Lupita was rescued by San MIguel and married him. But before leaving the Hernandez castle, Lupita stole a small fortune of jewels that the Hernandez family had been demanding back ever since. As Elizabeth became more aware of her connection to Lupita, she came closer to solving the mystery of where the jewels were and she was drawn closer and closer to Roberto in the process.

If looking for a great "happy ending" story that also makes you think, HEIRS OF LOVE is the book to read. The story intrigues us as we try to solve the mystery of the lost jewels along with Elizabeth and Roberto. Also, Savannah Michaels dares us to expand our minds by believing in the paranormal connection between the two lovers. The intimate scenes will have the reader believing they are under the sensual looks and hands of Roberto as he expresses the love for Elizabeth he has held inside for his whole life.
