In today's society, a virgin is a hard thing to find. Which is what made me snap up Ms. Kerce's charming story, Virgin Seeks Bad-Ass Boy. I remembered my days of confusion whenever my peers would talk about such forbidden things as condoms and trysts that came after dark. While Ms. Kerce's character knows what condoms are, she's a wee bit confused on the parameters of what comes after you get the packet open and the clothes off. Losing your virginity is seen as a passage into womanhood, as if losing that thin membrane of skin suddenly rips you out of the world of ribbons and bows and plops you into the land of lipstick, emergency pregnancy tests, and runs in your hose. While our heroine is already in the world of lipstick and buying pantyhose, she is starting to chafe at her virginity and has laid plans to do something drastic about it.

Alice Sutherland, at twenty-four, feels that she's the oldest virgin in the world and she's sick of it. So, she decides to find someone to de-virgin her. The answer comes in the shape of her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor, Caleb. She saw him in action once with another woman and his motorcycle, and she can't wait to try him out for herself. Alice wants a real 'bad boy' to initiate her into womanhood, and Caleb is just what the doctor ordered. Now all she has to do is talk him into it.

Caleb Sawyer will be the first to admit that he loves women and they love him right back, but something keeps him from attempting to slide between the sheets with his pretty neighbor Alice. She strikes him as innocent and sweet and he doesn't want to tarnish her. Imagine his shock when she walks right up and asks him to make her a woman. No strings attached, just one weekend of having him in her bed, and she'll walk away without so much as a backward glance.

Neither one of them plan on making anything more out of this than a few days of sex and fun, but fate has a way of popping up and biting you on the butt when you least expect it.

While not many people can claim such an interesting way of being 'de-virginized', Virgin Seeks Bad-Ass Boy is a cute and sweet story of two people who, despite their best laid plans, must bow to the whims of fate, and love, whenever they make their plans known.
