Aaron, Chester

Born in a coal-mine town in Pennsylvania, Chester Aaron was a soldier in WWII(one of the liberators of Dachau,) college student, x-ray technician, union organizer, writer, now Professor Emeritus Saint Mary's College of California(after 25 years.) He still writes and publishes and farms and teaches part-time. He's published 18 books (fiction and non-fiction, adult and young-adult.) One novel was made into a movie, two titles just optioned by film producers. A 28-minute film (DVD) of his life just won a first prize at the Berkeley Film Festival. He is working on three writing projects: a memoir, a novel, a story collection and has won various awards.
